Longevity

The world has always been evolving and going through cycles, this impacts on our personal lives, our work and our investments. In 1982, when we started providing investment advice, was emerging from recession and the UK had been through the Oil Crisis of the 1970’s and significant industrial unrest. On top of that The Falkland’s war broke out in the same year.

Since then many other significant global events have taken place, from wars and regime changes to the banking crisis and the emergence of new technologies and more recently the COVID Virus. The constant in our clients lives during this period has been our presence and advice, steering a way through to calmer financial times. We have remained firmly focused on our clients financial hopes and aspirations for the their future.

We are convinced that Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations can help us make better long-term investment decisions for our clients. For decades, sustainability has been an important part of our way of thinking.

Johnson Gibbs have aimed to ensure the prosperity of our clients over the long term. In doing so, we have instinctively considered the interests of future generations.

Considering your investment strategy is part of responsible capitalism and takes an enlarged view of the economy and its interactions with civil society and the natural environment.

Charities we support

Johnson Gibbs has been pleased to support a number of Charities over the years. In 2018 we made the decision to support a single group of Charities within the Cancer support group.

Macmillan Cancer Support – This Charity provides practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
